At OhioGuidestone, our clients have been impacted by negative events in their lives. They may have experienced poverty, witnessed violence and gone hungry. Many of the children we serve do not grow up with both parents, or even in their own family. These are traumatizing experiences, and as a result, our clients need additional support to move beyond the trials of their pasts. They need pathways to follow that will lead them to a better life. OhioGuidestone helps our clients find their paths by treating them, supporting them and giving them opportunities to grow.
During the past fiscal year (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016), OhioGuidestone has grown along with our clients. We have continued to refine our continuum of services and worked to keep our focus on providing individuals, families and communities the full circle of support they need. We have expanded our adult treatment services and introduced additional options for individuals struggling with both mental health and substance abuse problems. We have extended our support network for families throughout many communities, including Lorain County. We have completed one strategic plan and begun another, focusing on long-term tactics that will help break the cycle of poverty. Through all these initiatives we have, and will continue to, strengthen communities across the state of Ohio.
We thank you for your ongoing support of each individual and community we serve. Without it, we would not be able to personally touch so many lives. We are grateful for your help and your ongoing confidence in our work.
