National Recovery Month celebrates the millions of Americans who are in recovery from mental and substance use disorders, reminding us that treatment is effective and that people can and do recover. It also serves to help reduce the stigma and misconceptions that cloud public understanding of mental and substance use disorders, potentially discouraging others from seeking help.
For the 30th anniversary, there is a new logo which adds the “r” symbol, representing “r is for Recovery”.
Recovery Rights Advocacy Day – Ohio Statehouse
OhioGuidestone’s own Jodi Salvo, along with Hope Recovery Community Executive Director Stefanie Robinson, will be attending the Recovery Rights Advocacy Day at the Statehouse. Join them in hearing from recovery advocates and those directly impacted by addiction. Learn about their priorities and the potential policy solutions to help fight the addiction epidemic our states faces today. Jodi and Stefanie will also be speaking on various panels at conferences.
