OhioGuidestone Invests in Northwest Ohio
Introduces Foster Care and Upcoming Art Event
August 30, 2022-Berea, Ohio – Behavioral health service provider, OhioGuidestone is growing in Northwest Ohio, introducing Foster Care services, debuting its new website and planning a fall event showcasing works from its art therapy program.
OhioGuidestone officially entered the region last summer merging with A Renewed Mind which communities came to rely upon for mental health and substance abuse services. Notably, the Center for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder has received a lot of attention for its highly specialized work with children who have prenatal alcohol exposure.
OhioGuidestone has embraced A Renewed Mind’s talented staff who have worked hard and built strong relationships.
We want to help more people who are hurting improve their lives and OhioGuidestone’s resources provide the ability to expand services in Northwest Ohio. The Northwest region has a strong foundation of talented and compassionate employees and phenomenal support from the communities we serve. OhioGuidestone began in 1864 in Berea, as a home for children orphaned during the Civil War. The nonprofit agency has grown to help individuals and families throughout Ohio with over 37 offices statewide and serving people in 79 counties thanks to telehealth options.
This past summer, OhioGuidestone announced the addition of Foster Care Services in the Northwest region, a program that embraces and supports foster parents and the children in their journeys with continuous training and support.
This October, OhioGuidestone is holding a fundraising event featuring its hugely successful Expressive Arts Therapy program which allows patients to heal through various mediums of art. Tickets to the October 6th Expressive HeARTS event can be purchased online at ohioguidestone.org.
The website is also center stage this week. The newly redesigned site with enhanced functionality offers the visitor a user-friendly experience in finding help, donating, and applying for many exciting positions within OhioGuidestone.
Visitors will see Northwest Ohio featured in an interactive map that highlights services offered in each highlighted county.
