Fairfield County ADAMH Board Announces Mental Health Provider for New STARLight Center

LANCASTER, Ohio – The Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board is proud to partner with OhioGuidestone to offer expert care and wellness for mental health and substance use patients staying at the STARLight Center, set to open its doors at the end of 2023/early 2024.
OhioGuidestone, a respected mental health provider, will take a significant step in improving the comprehensive services at the STARLight Center. The faith-based agency provides prevention services and mental health and substance use treatment, focusing on responsive person-centered care.
“The STARLight Center represents a transformative milestone in our ongoing mission to strengthen mental health services within Fairfield County,” said Marcy Fields, Executive Director of the ADAMH Board. “We are thrilled to partner with OhioGuidestone, a recognized leader in the field, to provide individuals with the support and care they need for their journey to recovery.”
OhioGuidestone will be the primary provider agency at the STARLight Center, enhancing the center’s capacity to provide the best possible care for those in need. The STARLight Center will be able to house eight individuals struggling with mental health issues and 12 people battling substance use.
In response to this promising collaboration, Amanda Wattenberg, vice president of regional operations for OhioGuidestone, shared her enthusiasm: “We’re excited to be part of this important initiative and to contribute our expertise to the STARLight Center. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those seeking mental health and substance use support, helping them find hope, healing, and a path towards a brighter future.”
