2 Interns at OhioGuidestone Win Award to Benefit Youth

Clients at our youth residential campus in Berea will have some extra comfort thanks to the efforts of our grant writing interns.

Congratulations to OhioGuidestone interns Mackenzie Morsillo and Ethan Ward for winning the “Well Supplied Youth Program,” grant from Baldwin Wallace University. The award was handed out during the closing ceremony of BW’s Spring Yellow Jacket Philanthropy Program. The program nurtures future philanthropists through grant making and direct service to local non-profits addressing critical community needs.

Mackenzie and Ethan wrote the grant that will provide clothing, toiletries, and other care items to children at OhioGuidestone’s residential treatment campus in Berea.

The ceremony was especially significant to OhioGuidestone as Mary Wilson Wheelock, our new Chief Advancement Officer, gave the keynote address, and shared some of her extensive experience funding some of Cleveland’s most prominent non-profit organizations. Mary is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Baldwin Wallace.
