Stillwater Crossing Treatment Center Opens

Stillwater Crossing Treatment Center opens and is now accepting clients.

(Dennison, OH) – OhioGuidestone, the state’s leader in community behavioral health is now accepting clients at Stillwater Crossing, their new state-of-the-art men’s substance use residential treatment center.

Located at 700 Dudgeon Way in Dennison, Stillwater Crossing is the first non-profit facility of its kind in the region.

Evidence-based, whole person care services will help men in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties find a path to recovery. The $2.7 million facility has 7,900 square feet and the capacity for treating 16 men at a time.

Pam Trimmer, Vice President of Operations at OhioGuidestone, has worked on the project since its inception ten years ago. She explained that Stillwater Crossing fills the gap in residential services for men in this region as OhioGuidestone already operates a center for women in Tuscarawas County. Trimmer said, “Our goal is to ensure that we are providing high quality person-centered substance use services to our whole community and allow a seamless transition to after care services that support long term recovery.”

Stillwater Crossing is funded through a partnership between the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, ARPA funding awarded by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners, local ADAMHS funds, and donations from community partners.
