Ruth’s Story

Ruth’s story is one of a Grandmother’s love that built a bright future through OhioGuidestone’s ReadyCare clinics.

When Ruth stepped in to care for her granddaughter Serenity, she had no idea just how much strength the journey would require—or how much love it would bring.

As Serenity faced emotional and behavioral challenges, Ruth turned to OhioGuidestone for support. Through our ReadyCare walk-in clinics for behavioral health, Ruth and Serenity were connected to a team that listened, responded quickly, and provided consistent, compassionate care.

With customized support, therapy, and skill-building, Serenity began to thrive, and Ruth found reassurance knowing she wasn’t alone.

“Serenity had a lot of problems in school, but when we came here, everything started turning around for her almost immediately…we see her moving forward,” Ruth said.
