What is MRSS?
Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) is a crisis intervention program that supports young people and their families at home, in school, or anywhere in the community.
This in-person crisis and stabilization service provides youth and families experiencing behavioral and/or emotional distress with an MRSS team (composed of a licensed clinician and a qualified individual) to respond to the youth’s location (home, school, emergency department, or other location) to de-escalate the crisis, provide support, and ensure safety.
MRSS teams collaborate with other community professionals, like law enforcement and schools to provide comprehensive support.
The Goal?
The primary goal of MRSS is to ensure the immediate safety of the youth and family.
MRSS works to de-escalate crises, strengthen family bonds, and build long-term coping skills that reduce future distress.
OhioGuidestone is honored to be part of this initiative, and we’re looking for passionate professionals to join us as we help expand these critical services across Ohio.
