Care Coordinator (Community-Based and Office-Based)

Care Coordinators at OhioGuidestone provide intensive or moderate support to children and young adults experiencing mental health challenges. Using high-fidelity wraparound practices, you’ll build strong relationships with clients, families, caregivers, and child and family teams to develop and monitor individualized care plans.

Care Coordinators advocate for families, connect them to community resources, coordinate services across providers, and ensure all documentation meets agency standards. Individuals in this role will be trained in trauma-informed care and play a vital role in recognizing and escalating urgent situations.

Through collaboration, discharge planning, and a commitment to OhioGuidestone’s values, Care Coordinators help youth and families navigate challenges and move toward stability and success.

Behavioral Health Specialists & Behavioral Health Therapists (Community-Based)

Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS) and Therapists at OhioGuidestone provide compassionate community-based support to adolescents and adults experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.

These professionals build strong therapeutic relationships, helping clients gain insight into their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Using cognitive-behavioral and evidence-based interventions, BHS and Therapists assist clients with managing grief, stress, family conflict, substance use, and other behavioral concerns.

Working directly in homes, schools, and community-based settings, these roles meet clients where they are, empowering them to develop successful coping mechanisms to achieve meaningful progress toward their goals.

Residential Specialists (Office-Based)

Residential care at OhioGuidestone offers a safe, therapeutic environment for children and teens with complex trauma, significant mental health needs, academic struggles, or behavioral challenges that prevent them from safely living at home.

Our residential team, including Behavioral Health Specialists and Youth Care Specialists, across first, second, and third shifts, work together to provide structure, guidance, and trauma-informed support to help youth grow and thrive.

Team members supervise daily routines, lead social and skill-building activities, coordinate with caregivers and placement agencies, and respond to crises with compassion and safety.

With a commitment to each youth’s well-being, our residential staff plays a vital role in helping children stabilize, strengthen their coping skills, and transition toward a more permanent living situation.

Full-time and part-time opportunities on second and third shift are currently available.
